Nov. 10: Designing with Dots, soft glass bead making. Embark on the infinite possibilities in controlled stratification. One of the most expansive fundamental techniques to learn and utilize in new and different ways. We will learn and practice all the ancient techniques found in glass beads from millenniums ago, as well as contemporary methods.
Nov. 11: Fundamentals in Twisted Canes. We will learn several designs to perfect in the making of twisted canes. This techniques is an ancient way to add complexity and color to your beads, marbles, or other artless work. It takes some dexterity to be sure but the fun just keeps going with new and unusual lay outs using clear glass and a wide variety of color combinations. There are tips to make it easier to create even lines of distinctive colors and depth. Then after making these for part of the day we will then use the in our beads for best practices and best results.
